WW2 Era American Military Trench Shovel

This World War 2 era soviet style Infantry shovel is constructed with a steel blade and wooden handle. These shovels were predominately used for entrenching, however they could also be used as a hammer, an oar, an axe or even as a frying pan as seen in many period photographs.

This shovel features age appropriate patina, with U.S. stamped on to the stem of the blade. The wooden handle of this trench shovel does exhibit age, and is missing some pieces. The overall dimensions of this shovel measure 7" x 22.25".
